COVID lockdown for me...

While the world is struggling with the deadly Corona virus, i've tried to depict the areas which have been affected for me. Its a small picture of how lives have changed for me during this lockdown.

We are almost 5 months with this deadly virus and i hope doctors and scientists get us the vaccine or medicine really fast.

Happy Bday!!!

YAY!! I'll be turning 11 years tomorrow and I'm so very excited about it. Among my friends we also celebrate Star bday which is one day prior to the actual bday - so today (10th mar) we are celebrating that :-)

I'm super excited for tomorrow. But you know what, like everytime, this time as well, my final exams are on the way. So celebrations are a little low with no friends or anyone to have fun with. I cant even meet mama, mami and Adi even though they are in the same city (only 40KMs away!!)!!
But then no problemo; I've mom and dad to pamper and make me feel special... Since I wont be celebrating my bday party tomorrow, I'll still take chololates and toffees to school for class distribution... i always feel so good and excited about it... I'm not sure but this time also, I might take Navya with me for the distribution.

BUT BUT BUT, wait... this time, more than me, its my dad's big day!! He is turning 40!!! WOW! He has written a small blog of his own as well (he getting inspired :-0)

Read it here - https://abhisheksinghal.home.blog/2019/03/10/made-in-march-1979/

Alright then...i'll get back to the books and prepare for my English Grammer exam tomorrow... wish me luck!! :-)

My 1st story writing - A Night to Remember

Below is the replication of the events as told by mommy and daddy...

This is a real life story based on true events that happened on a fateful night of 14th Aug 2009 in the town of Bhubaneswar.

It was monsoon season and it was raining cats and dogs for last couple of days. As the clock turned 11pm, I went to bed with my mommy and daddy. We kept the bedroom window open to let the cool breeze come in. Soon we were in deep sleep. At around 3am mommy and daddy's sleep was disturbed by some strange noise coming from the backyard. They tried to ignore, but the noise sustained. They were aware of the warnings issued by the local police for the thefts and burglaries happening in the area and hence became a little cautious and scared as well. While they were still sleepy, suddenly mommy felt as if someone was at the window trying to get his hands inside. Petrified, she woke up the daddy and he also saw a hand trying to move the curtain. With lot of courage, they got out of the bed and shouted at top of their voice. I also woke up at this point of time. Thereafter daddy picked up his baseball bat, switched on the kitchen garden lights and alerted the neighbors as well. From the window, we could make out the footprints of the thieves since the ground was wet and muddy.

During this humdrum, we almost forgot the creepy noise that was still coming up. Using the flash light, daddy could see a fat cat in the kitchen garden who was about the deliver her babies. She was mourning in pain. Cautiously, daddy went out, picked up the cat and put her in a old dry cardboard box.

Post all this, we went to bed a little scared. We woke up and immediately went to the backyard to see 2 beautiful kittens. They were extremely cute. We gave them some milk and thanked cat who woke us up last night and saved us.

In a nutshell, it was a very scary, mysterious and eventful night. Not only God helped us by sending cat as the messenger, but my parents also put up a very brave act to avoid what could have been a very dangerous night. We will never forget that night!!
